Usage of current-voltage transformer
- GN-PT series products are mini current type voltage transformers, are widely applied to
the electric quantity transmitter, power monitor and so on, circuit of typical applications as
shown in Fig.1 and Fig.2. Input and output current ratio is 1: 1, maximum input current is
10mA, primary input voltage should be less than 1000V (connecting with current-limiting
resistor), allowable ratio difference±0.1% and angular difference ±10 ' , zero load.
- Fig.1 Secondary load almost is 0, when the measured input voltage VIN subject to current
limiting by the current-limiting resistor R1N, the produced current of 0-2mA flows through
the mini voltage transformer, the transformer detects the same current of 0-2mA, it is
able to adjust the feedback resistance R through operational amplifier, to get the needed
voltage output on the output terminal.
- Fig.2 Parallel resistance R direct output circuit, resistance R not more than 500Ω
(maximum output voltage 1.5V). As the circuit has large load, the phase difference is larger
correspondingly, but the linearity is essentially unchanged.
